Chatham Interiors, Inc. is a proud contributor to the Blount County Children’s Advocacy Center in Maryville, Tennessee. This Non-Profit agency is dedicated to serving the abused and neglected children of Blount County, and their families, by providing prevention, education and intervention.

In 2001-Melinda was asked to get involved in the interior design of the new Blount County Children’s Advocacy Center. This historic home was in much need of renovation and donations. Once on board, Melinda spearheaded a team of professional and students to help create a home like setting for abused children and their families.

Melinda personally designed the medical exam room servicing girls and boys, ages 0-18. The design of the room became “The Bubble Room” complete with a lighted bubble wall, hundreds of bubbles painted all over the walls and glass balls suspended from the ceiling. The room is magical and the design successful. You can’t help but feel a sense of peace when you walk in.

In January 2009, Melinda became a member of the Board of Directors.

Through monetary donations and services, Chatham Interiors, Inc. will assist in increasing awareness about child abuse.
