CHATHAM OFFICE, CHATHAM, MA~My inspiration…a walk on Hardings Beach. In designing the office, I sought after a peaceful and calm design which would represent the beautiful colors of the beach. I wanted the office to speak of elegance and sophistication while still achieving an air of relaxation. A ten foot slab of marble graces the space as our conference room table. Four upholstered chairs invite clients to relax and feel welcome in a busy working office. The prize of the studio is a glorious custom piece of art I am selling by local artist, Pat Nickerson. She labeled the piece Low Tide Memories, in honor of the many special walks my grandmother and I shared on Hardings Beach when I was a girl. We invite you visit and enjoy this space with us.
DOCTORS’ HOME, GETTYSVUE, KNOXVILLE, TN These doctors lead a busy life raising their children and running a successful practice together. After 12 years of living in their house, they called us in for some major renovations. The downstairs got a facelift. Each child got a new room, and a renovated bathroom. We installed lighting, case pieces, and a sitting area in the master bedroom. As a special touch, we added a TV behind the mirror when designing the custom tower in the master bath. This was an amazingly fun project to work on with fabulous clients!
A CONDO NEAR THE GRANDCHILDREN, MARYVILLE, TN This retired couple purchased a condo in town to be closer to their grandkids. She had always dreamed of having a white kitchen so that is what we gave her. We also added new furnishings, light fixtures and specified paint colors throughout. They truly were such kind and wonderful clients.
WEEKEND CABIN IN THE WOODS This getaway cabin was in need of a complete remodel. We added new hardware, lighting fixtures, furnishings, window treatments, wall coverings and refinished the kitchen cabinets in a cranberry red. Second homes are such a joy to work on!
ACROSS THE OCEAN TURKS AND CAICOS, BWI five owners, five styles, one condo….great fun
MY FIRST RESTAURANT, CASHIERS, NC Chef John Fleer asked me to come up with a design unlike any other in the area and was given eight weeks to do so. Rawhide chairs and zinc tables with cedar bases were a home run for this barn restaurant- I am very proud of this project.
A GENTLEMAN’S OFFICE What an honor it was to be asked to remodel this office.
FACELIFT FOR AN OLD BEAUTY The kitchen really is the heart of the home. A long awaited update gave this family a favorite hangout.
FINISHING TOUCHES small spaces in a home count, too. In this design, a porch and a guest bedroom get some attention
CLAYTON CENTER FOR THE ARTS, MARYVILLE, TENNESSEE I was hired to add seating to the Grand Lobby of the Clayton Center for the Arts. It is always a challenge to follow another designer’s theory and retrofit a space. I selected fabric that complemented two permanent elements in the room- the grand stone stair case and the beautiful bubble chandeliers. I placed three vignettes along the magnificent windows. The seating is a huge welcome to those attending a performance and college students gathering to study.
