One of my mother’s favorite sayings: “If you give a child good roots then you can give them good wings.”  Of course she was meaning to instill great values in a child and strong sense of self and then allow them the freedom to grow and explore.  What I have come to realize is that my love for interior design can be summed up best in these two, simple words.

My passion for design comes from my ROOTS.  The home I grew up in was warm, inviting and cohesive.  It was filled with sentimental items that told a story of who we were.  My WINGS can be best described by the many things I am exposed to each day.  It may be a lecture I attend, searching for product, travel or Mother Nature herself.  I am constantly inspired by new elements and concepts that force me to move beyond what I know.

This blog is a reflection of such and is dedicated to my mother, my grandmother and all those who inspire me.
